The game

Taskbar Town plays offline. Your town, your settings and your photos of the town are saved only on your own computer, in the game's folder and in your Pictures folder. The game does not send your personal data anywhere, does not show ads and does not use advertising trackers.

When the game is sold on Steam, Steam handles the purchase, your account and achievements under Valve's own privacy policy.

Test versions

People who test an early version help with gameplay numbers: how long each session lasted, what was built and how smoothly the game ran. The test version sends these numbers to this site with the tester's name, and keeps a copy on their computer. It sends nothing else, and the test questionnaire is answered only if the tester wants to.

Beta and news sign-up

If you sign up on this site, we keep your name, your email, the boxes you ticked, the language of the page and your country (as Cloudflare reports it), in a database at Cloudflare. We use them only to invite you to the beta test and, if you ticked it, to send news about the game. We never sell or share them. Write to us at any time and we delete your sign-up.
